The 4 way nasal spray is a decongestant that is most of the time
referred to as Oxymetazoline.
Many people tend to think that the nose becomes congested from too
much mucus but actually it is the tissue lining in the nose that
become swollen leading to inflamed blood vessels. This leads to
difficulties in breathing, and instead of using inhalers; it is more
advisable to use the spray.
The spray is a formulation that acts directly on the blood vessels
and the nasal tissues. Constriction of the vessels in the nose and
sinuses leads to drainage in these areas and leads their congestion.
The 4 ways nasal sprays are used to treat allergies, hay fever,
irritation of the sinus and the common cold. Other purposes may be
recommended by the physician.
The most important thing to note about the 4 way nasal spray is
that it should not be used longer than 3 to 5 days. This is because
its extended use could lead to the damage of the nasal tissue and
these would ultimately lead to chronic congestion.
Those prohibited from using the 4 ways nasal spray:

harm to the unborn baby; it is therefore important to inform your
doctor if you are pregnant.
In cases of infants or children who are less than 6 years old, it
is not advisable to use the medicine without first consulting the
doctor; this because they are known to be particularly sensitive to
the side effects. Mothers who are also breastfeeding should also not
use the dug.

the drug for they are more prone to the side effects, but with the
